The Elora Centre for the Arts is a vibrant home for the arts. Since opening in October 2003, the Centre has welcomed over 30,000 visitors who have come as audiences; students; performers; exhibitors; and teachers. We bring together artists of all disciplines, working at all levels from novice to professional through our arts programmes. We invite inspired, accomplished artists into our space to educate, exhibit and perform, and we foster the enrichment that the arts bring to our lives through outreach into the community and through school programmes. The Elora Centre for the Arts is also a heritage success story: through community support, the mid-19th century Elora Public School and its accompanying two acres of green space have been returned to community use. The ongoing renovation of the 10,000 square foot facility, supported by grants from such organizations as the Ontario Trillium Foundation, as well as generous private donations, has already created the elegant contemporary Minarovich Gallery; meeting rooms; classrooms; and studio space.
