Communication. Language and Reality
Which comes first in this metaphysical chicken/ egg question?  Are we hard-wired for language before it ever developed? Why?  Are the arts and music proto-languages or elaborate embellishments of it?  And then, what is the difference between perception and reality?  Can we ever understand outside our senses?

HEATHER VOLLANS Heather’s passion is producing art from salvaged materials. As a child she collected frivolous and useless things – or so others said. This collecting exercise is one Heather has not outgrown : collections now include textural plastics, wood, aluminum, tire rubber, asphalt, building materials- aluminum, ceramics, wood, stone, copper, interesting metals – in fact anything which appeals for its texture, color, shape etc and that can be saved from landfill. Her aim is to take those fragments, that “garbage” and make a new reality. The journey is the most powerful and important process: the results, sometimes surprising, but a bonus! www.dawningdecorstudio.com
